Originally from Charleston, SC, Robbie Ewen joined TSBS in 2010. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University with a minor in Business. Before coming to TSBS, he worked in the public sector teaching Medicare and Medicaid for the State of Florida and then in the private sector for an HR outsourcing and benefits software development firm. Robbie holds multiple professional certifications in human resources.
AMBER PAIGEVP of Operations and Client Relations
Amber Paige, a native Texan from Amarillo, joined the TSBS team in October 2007. With a degree in Communications and Business from Texas State University, Amber serves as VP of Operations at TSBS. She is passionate about building strong partner relationships with school districts to guide them in receiving maximum reimbursements through school Medicaid programs. Amber oversees day-to-day operations to enhance the client experience by streamlining processes that support the growth of the organization. Her focus is on strategic planning, goal-setting, and directing the operations of the company in support of its goals.
KANDI SCHMIDTVP of Collaborative Strategy and Business Development
Kandi D. Schmidt, a Texas native from College Station, moved to Wimberley in 2017. Soon after, she joined TSBS as a Business Development Consultant and came on board permanently as the VP of Collaborative Strategy and Business Development in early 2019. Kandi comes to TSBS with years of industry experience driving revenue and winning market share but truly specializes in strategic planning, process reengineering and change management. With her background she enhances the client experience by building and mentoring a First-in-Class Business Development and Marketing Team. Kandi’s focus on seeking and developing new business as well as cultivating current clients is consistently targeted to the TSBS principles of business integrity, trust, and fulfilling client needs.
LAUREN ALLGOODDirector of Compliance and Billing Services
As a principal contributor in the financial success of TSBS, Austin native, Lauren Allgood, is our Director of Compliance and Billing Services. By joining TSBS in October 2005 and accumulating extensive experience in SHARS billing and consulting, Lauren combines a full array of business and personnel skills to create and oversee the highest level of efficiency in support of the firm’s business strategy.
DAVID HOFFMANIT Director
David Hoffman serves TSBS as our IT Director. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, David is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major: Management Information Systems & Supply Chain and Operation Management. Previous to TSBS, David started in tech support at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and worked his way into a role with similar responsibilities to his role at TSBS. In addition, David worked in the ecommerce IT field, strengthening his skills and continuing his IT career momentum.
MARIAH HERRERAMarketing Consultant
Mariah Herrera, a native Austinite, began working with TSBS in 2015. With four successful years of marketing and social media experience, Mariah was promoted to Marketing Consultant. Notable for her knowledge of various social media platforms and her inspired approach, she has revolutionized the TSBS social reach. Mariah’s greatest strengths are her creativity, drive and zeal to learn, combined with a contagious smile and positive attitude.
NIKKI PETRERegional Sales Executive
Located in The Woodlands area, Nikki Petre is a Kansas City, MO native who began her Texas adventure in 2003. After coming to TSBS in 2006 and compiling an impressive depth of SHARS knowledge and policy history with a no-nonsense attitude, Nikki is now a respected Regional Sales Executive for the Houston area and Coastal Bend districts. She is passionate about ensuring our clients maintain absolute compliance while guiding them towards maximum reimbursements through school Medicaid programs. Nikki thrives on client interaction, building close-knit bonds with all districts and maintaining those structures to meet every need.

Another Texas native from Austin, Holly Wyatt serves as Client Relations Specialist to our north Texas clients. In January 2014, Holly joined TSBS with a background focused on client relations, sales, and administration. Holly’s principal goals are to manage and increase SHARS reimbursements for her clients while delivering exceptional customer support.
BRITTANY BAKERQuality Control Analyst
From La Vernia, TX, Brittany Baker attended Texas A&M University pursuing a major in English Literature. With over seven years of analytical and customer service experience with both Texas A&M and Texas State University in San Marcos, Brittany provides full-service SHARS billing and quality control support to our West Texas clients as well as rigorous software testing skills to every upgrade of TSBS’ systems.
AMY PEEBLESMedicaid Billing Specialist
Austin native, Amy Peebles, began her career at TSBS in December 2007. Amy serves as a Billing Specialist for our Region 1 clients. With a keen eye for detail and a solid background in customer service, Amy works closely with our Region 1 Client Relations Reps to bring customer support to all our Region 1 clients.
JASON BRAFFORDRegional Sales Executive
J.B. Brafford lives and works in Princeton, where the Metroplex meets East Texas. In 2015, after 10-plus years of classroom teaching and administration, J.B. was recruited by TSBS. Having worked in Title 1 schools and appreciating funds associated with programs like SHARS, he was sold on TSBS’ commitment and honesty to their clients. Starting out as an assistant, and quickly promoted to Program Consultant and then Specialist, J.B.’s excited about his role as Regional Sales Executive. This role and his location offer him the opportunity to do what he does best – keeping our northeast clients extremely satisfied with SHARS!
JON VEYTIAClient Relations Specialist
Jon Veytia is a native Texan originally from Dallas. After attending Texas State University in San Marcos and pursuing a major in History and minor in Political Science, Jon continues his work in the educational system serving as an administrator for the SAT and ACT College acceptance testing system. Bringing to TSBS a background in customer service and sales, Jon began his career at TSBS in May 2016. Jon serves as Client Relations Specialist to the TSBS East Texas regions and is dedicated to the goal of ensuring TSBS clients receive the utmost in service and support for their SHARS program.

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Elle Directo joined the TSBS team in October 2016. As a Client Relations Specialist for TSBS, Elle works with clients in our central Texas regions. Graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Human Resource Management, her subsequent experience as an HR Manager fueled her desire to provide outstanding support and assistance to clients and employees alike. Bringing those ambitions to TSBS, Elle is committed to ensuring the continued success of all TSBS district partners.

Cindy Rasgado, originally from Austin, TX, serves TSBS as a Billing Specialist and a Quality Control Analyst to our Central Texas clients. Cindy joined the TSBS family in September 2008 and her background before coming to TSBS includes client support and bookkeeping. Cindy is dedicated to providing the finest customer support to all TSBS clients by working closely with our Central Texas Client Relations Reps.

Kimberly Murchison is a native Texan from Kyle, TX. Kim began her career at TSBS in February 2013. She currently provides client support and assistance as a Medicaid Billing Clerk to our wonderful east and south Texas clients. Kim takes great pleasure in the quality of her claims processing and creating synergy with her team while providing exceptional customer service to her clients.
AURORA VILLARREALClient Relations Consultant
Originally from Brownsville, TX, Aurora Villarreal moved to San Marcos, TX to pursue her BS at Texas State University in 2014. She received her degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Health and Wellness Promotion in 2017. Currently, she is pursuing her MS in Health Information Management at Texas State University. Aurora began her career at TSBS in November 2018. Aurora is a Client Relations Consultant for our South Texas clients and is overjoyed to be able to give back to her Rio Grande Valley community. Her enthusiastic personality, knowledge in health care, and dedication to serving our clients are what make her a great addition to our TSBS team.
STEPHANIE LAWRENCEClient Relations Consultant
A native Texan having lived in Austin, Del Valle, and San Antonio, Stephanie Lawrence has called Kyle home since 2013. Her professional background includes many years of client relations management, business development, and coordinating disaster relief efforts in times of crisis. As a parent, Stephanie has firsthand experience with Special Education Programs and has friends and family that play active roles in these programs today. Focusing her efforts in Houston and the Coastal Bend Area, Stephanie prides herself on accessing resources and putting tools to use in the SHARS program. Her passion is to ensure her Client’s needs are met, in everyday operations as simply and quickly as possible, while delivering a personal touch of understanding and attention.
ERICA ISLASAdministrative Consultant
Erica Islas was born and raised in Lockhart, Texas and later moved to Ohio to pursue her BS in Forensic Accounting with a minor in Criminal Justice from Defiance College. She recently returned to the Lone Star state with her small family and plans to obtain her master’s degree in Accounting. Combining her customer service and accounting skills, Erica is a valuable asset to the TSBS team.
CHANEY SMITHClient Relations Consultant
Originally from Houston, Chaney Smith relocated to Midland to further her career as a Client Relations Consultant for TSBS. As a graduate from Dillard University in New Orleans, Chaney obtained a BA in Communications which provided a skillset of relationship development with clients on both personal and professional levels. With her extensive background in client relations and account management, Chaney is experienced with establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the relationship between TSBS and our West Texas clients. While working extensively in this region, Chaney is dedicated to assisting TSBS in continued growth and success.
JILL MARTINEZClient Relations Consultant
Jill Martinez is a Client Relations Consultant for TSBS’s East Texas districts. She is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma but has spent the past 16 years in the Dallas and Austin areas. Jill offers her TSBS clients experience in Medicaid quality assurance reviews, claims adjudication, benefit trend analysis, account and business development and a focus on making sure that all her clients receive benchmark customer care experiences every day. Jill graduated with a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma where she majored in Social Work and Sociology. She has worked at the State of Texas and offers an extensive work history assisting individuals and families with disability services, insurance and overall care management. It is a great joy for Jill to bring her skills and services to her school district clients and be a part of the exciting TSBS family.
ZACH ANDERSENIT Assistant
Zach Andersen, a native Texan from Houston, serves TSBS as our IT Assistant. Zach currently attends Texas State University pursuing his Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Prior to working for TSBS, his work history always involved technology and customer service, and he specializes in ensuring that the processes between hardware and software are optimized and working for everyone. Zach uses those skills daily for TSBS to help give our clients an optimal experience and keep the workplace running at max capacity.
